Weekend Plans?

See if the ice is safe enough to dunk a few shiners.

Clean the garage enough to get the car in so we don't have to blast come Monday.

Anyone going for holdovers?

Went yesterday afternoon Ed, from shore didn/t feel like getting the tin boat ready,, at Providence, no hits no fish, Just a 5 lb blue that followed my jig in, It swam in slow motion
two other fisherman there also ,didn,t see them do anything either, I;d like to go to New England Power in Somerset but I would have to rig up the tin can,and that place is nowhere near as good as it use to be//
PS John said we have to get in gear on the rods we want !!!!!!!!!!!!!

ENJOY WHAT YOU HAVE !!!

I'm going south heading into a foot of snow and a state that has only 5 plows.with people who can't drive in it. sounds like this is going to be fun.

I saw guys on the ice in wareham today they said they had 3" of black ice.

Hay john I think it's time to put up the ice thickness chart just for safty.
see yal in a couple of weeks

I'm meeting a friend from Wocester at the Thames on Sunday, at least that's what I think. He has yet to confirm and 3 in a boat isn't a problem, so if anyone else is up for it give me a shoot.

Speaking of ice fishing, I just read on Flyfishingsaltwaters in the Mass. reports forum that someone caught a record 27 lb tiger muskie in Pontussac Lake. Man, that fish must have been like 4 feet long or longer

I didn't know we had so many ice fisherman here. I'm heading up to Lake Wickwas in Merideth, NH.

I had a blast at Webster Lake in Mass last week.

Since I haven't heard back from my friend in Worcester, I assume he's either very busy or something came up to change his plans. Drew if your lurking, I'll be at the Fish Connection sometime before 8 (the open at 7) and will launch from there.

If any of you other guys/gals want to join me, there is a good chance I'll be flying solo. Even if Drew shows 3 in my boat isn't a problem, so let me know if anyone wants to wet a line tomorrow.

With a five acre pond 200 yards from the house I thought ice fishing would be a good way to get the kids out on a clear afternoon and get some fishing in. We have 3" of nice black ice a little less in spots so with the wandering feet it is a better idea to wait till we get another inch or so.

Clammer, we'll get to it eventually. I'm pretty much narrowed to two, John and I just need to get together.

Fishpart , be carefull out there! I'd want 6 good inches at least to bring kids out especially with thinner spots here and there and two to keep track of.
