Pt Jude Lures

catch fish!

I met Joe at Quaker Lane when he was dropping off a shipment on Friday. We talked for a bit and I picked up a small and a large butterfish.

Fishing the small butterfish yesterday afternoon, my four year old catches his first striper! 15" schoolie. (this while everyone else was pitching to snapper blues along the four inch range).

I wish I had a camera with me to record that smile and all the jumping around he did.

Great Lure.. great fun!

Thanks Joe!

Go Bears!

i dont mean to hijack, and hope this isnt considered so, but I have a Pt. Jude butterfish and I am curious on how its supposed to move and how its supposed to work.

ive tied directly and put a split ring on it and i only get minimal side to side movement when retreiving... is that correct? or should it be moving all over the place? should i be retrieving it any way in particular?

Same here as far as hijacking.

I've had LOTS of success with the Po-Jee and a fair amount with the Sea Scallop but very little with the Butterfish and God knows I've tried. The only thing I've caught on it was a small fluke jigging it with a strip of squid.
