Earlier in the year when the macs were in, there were cod chasing them right into the ditch. Not many were caught, but there were some. I'm not sure what your chances will be now, but as they say no one ever caught a fish from their living room.

The areas we ues to fish for cod were the basin. (cape side) If the current is running west fish the east side and let it drift into the edge of the basin. They may not allow you to fish that area at this time call the army corps of engineers. The other is portugee hole(160) just tio the right of the light pole or down to the right to the pipe. bring fresh clams, sand eels, jigs with teasers.

I used to fish the P-hole with Mikes dad. At one time it was great and you could get some huge flounder there too. We fished it around the low slack. Have not heard one peep about cod since the macs left.

I'm afraid you won't have much success there this time of year. If you K, just try again in early may. There will be many others down there cod fishing starting in late April.
