Casting 450 ft?

Can anyone help me find the posting of where someone was talking about how they were casting an average of 450ft? I think it was about a baitcasting reel. If so what kind of reel, rod, and line would i need to send a lure flying that far?

It's something anyone should be able to do with that set-up, and using something like a 4 oz diamond jig or Crippled Herring.

I've probably thrown that far with a 5 oz pyramid sinker using a Squidder, a yellow glass Lami and 30# Ande.

450'

My brother SQUID KID'S DAD smokes cast 450 plus on a regular basis. Guys at the maratime academy sit down and watch in awe as every cast seemingly is going to fly across the canal. I told mikey he ought to give lessons, but he is to humble.

Squidder, 10' Uglystik, 30# Fireline, 4oz.pyramid w/worms. It's only 150yards.
