a couple squid
these are going out to jeffreys ledge tomorrow for a test swim.
the two on the left are part of a baseball bat.
the one on the right is the mistery wood?
3/32" thru wire.. 1,030# sampo swivel with a few weights stuffed in the nose.
we'll see how they swim?

anyone have an idea on this wood?
tough as nails but pretty grain 
i ran it under the sink to see the grain better.

thats what i thought. i got some other mohogany that ain't nearly as nice as this stuff. must be a different species of mahogany?
i gotta learn wood types and applications now that i've mooved up from pine

The wood looks like Teak to me too . Is it hard as a rock and barely floats ?
