Fishing on the Cape

After spending 20 years on the cape(Wellfleet), I have not been back in quite a while.I will be fishing there this Fri thru Mon. I am looking for a bait shop to get sand eels on my way onto the cape. Will be arriving about 3 AM Friday. Is there anything open?????? I hate to wait till 7 or 8 AM. Thank you in advance for your help.

If your going to Wellfleet, call Blackbeards in Eastham. In the past they have left bait for me in a cooler when I called in advance. If going to PTown, try the same with Nelsons on Race Point Road. Goose Hummock in Orleans is right off the rotary, you could try them as well.

Blackbeards rox! I give them all my business. Very accomodating to fishermen.

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

I completely agree. Blackbeards is pissa. Paul and Connie are good people, and they go out of their way to help you out

I buy mostly everything from there (living down the street doesn't help ), and they have the best prices around, that I've seen. They usually always have fresh sand eels, and their regular eel prices are still the cheapest I've seen.

The number there is (508) 240-3369
