Sweet in Drag...

I wanted to thank everyone at the reel party on Saturday and I also wanted to than Mike P for the inspiration on using those HT100s in a Mag Elite...

Mike - I put them in, tuned the reel, and that drag "feels" sweet. I'm thinking it'll be a few months until I can test it with some live buckies but early indications are sweet... I may need to try it on a RIPTA bus or someting in the meantime ....

I'll have the pictures up tonight or tomorrow...

Hey John, no problem. Just look in there regularly as they tend to get a little chewed around the edges---they're not an exact fit for the main gear. Cheap enough to replace if need be.

Dave - I would bet they work nice but I think you would need one with a larger O.D. to get the most drag surface...

With all the discussion I went ahead and put the Extreme Smoooooothies I got late last fall into my reels. My question now is how did I ever fish with the stock drag washers???

Talk about a major improvement in drag pressure, I'm ready to pull stumps with my ABU7000.
