Wave Direction

The wave direction in relation to the land can be viewed by this link wave graphics
The vectors shown in the graph determine the wave direction which is also correlated to the current direction.

The waves that are above normal size ( 5-8+ ft) may impede your fishing style. However if there is structure (land, points, jetties ) and given the direction of the waves you can adjust your position to not take the brunt of the wave.

This graph is in real time but I have not proven its accuracy because I'm not at the surf as of now.

It seems that I'm trying to justify going to soco this weekend despite the bad weather. I may have a spot picked out.
In the same breath of this thread, do you have a location I may consider.
PS I fish alone and my lips are sealed.
Send PM but if you don't that is OK.

I hear you #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&, It is hard to back down from fishing when you have it in your heart and mind all the time. I should take your suggestion.

From the horse mouth, do a google seach for WAM at NMFMOC.gov Its the U.s. Navy's Wave Action Model and its as good as predicting seas as anythng else out there. (Porbably better than 99% of them)
