season's over

I pulled the boat this afternoon, very sad day. Lots of reel work to do, but by the end of next week all the prep for next year will be done. Oh well, time to get back to the gym.

I was out today and froze my butt off on the south of the Cape. Of course the wind was much stronger than they called for. Only saw 1 other boat in 5 hours of fishing. Nutin large. Ended up catching fish 20 feet from shore on plugs. Didn't even need a boat. Probably make one more boat trip. Paul

I tried twice to get across BB and through Quick's. No way. I've learned (the hard way) not to try it in those conditions. There are supposedly fish around all the beaches from Worm to Westport. There were none at the beach I ended up fishing (or I'm just not good enough to have caught them).
I brought some bugs with me (Plan C) just in case and ended up with some tog action, though none over 15".
