I have to ask here because I'm afraid if I put this post on the computor posting area it will be consigned to oblivion..........where and who does all these emoticons come from? What program is necessary to design these?

search your favorite search engine to find places to find more.

I know you can make them with Macromedia Flash.
Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator too, I think.

emoticons are just animated .gif images.
like a flipbook animation. repetitive..

Go in Flash create the flipbook files, animate them, export it as .gif and vuala..
insert emoticon.

this one is my favorite : )

Stay away from websites that are giving away Smilies and emoticons....you'll end up w/ a ton of Spyware and Viruses.
