Keeping fish?

Now that we are at the end of the season and the Regulation deal is getting thrown around. How many fish do you keep in a year of fishing

I don't eat fish so I have no need to keep a striper or Blue Fish
unless I catch a trophy I will not be keeping any

i kept about a 1/2 dozen bass. like all around 36" fish.
kept maybe around a dozen bluefish. 2 trophys, the rest were like 2 pound eaters.

i eat em, and i have some buddies i work with that i basically fed for a couple weeks this summer with bass and bluefish. these dudes go insane over bluefish.

if i have a fish thats legal to keep, and it has a fatal injury, im keeping it, even if its a bloo.

live to fish. fish to live. rod tips high.

I think I've kept maybe half a dozen fish this year. One was upper twenties but the rest were probably teen sized fish.

I eat the first keeper of the year, and then usually one somewhere in the middle, and one at the end for the freezer. Plus I've kept 2 or 3 fish for friends/family.

I used to feel really guilty about keeping a fish, but reading&hearing about what the commercial take is & bykill from the trawlers and all the other crap that's going on, I'm not so worried about the effect of the few that I take anymore.

I kept 5 bass this year, all caught in Sept/Oct. Ate some of them and then vacuum sealed the remainder for my once a week striper dinner. Should last me to spring. Kept 3 blues, all badly injured from umbrellas or trebles, for immediate eating, tasty....

Have never vacuumed blues as I heard they do not freeze well. If someone has done so successfully and can give me the secret, I may consider in the future.

All fish I keep are eaten either immediately, given to friends or vacuumed for the freezer.

One a month...

I LOVE fresh striper...

grilled, fried, boiled, striper cakes... it's all good.
