2nd trip on Vet's Day

I drove down to RI and arrived at Frances Fleet at 6:30 AM. They charged $60 per person. It used to cost about $55 each person. Anyway, I went on a boat and find it to be packed. As soon we sailed to tog spots. Three Chinese guys whom I met outfished everyone else all day. They exceeded their limit creel by little like more than ten togs. Oh well. I caught a 4 lbs tog just to show my efforts. I am done with it for now.

Joey, thats great, the 5 extra bucks was probably due to fuel costs
I noticed that when I went on a charter boat there was a group of
guys out fishing everyone 2 to 1. I then later found out it was WD-40
they were spraying there bait with it. is that cheating? not sure.

I am also wondering,

wd 40... know one guy who freezes his eels when the fall runs done, partially thaws them in the microwave as needed come spring/summer, and then sprays wd 40 on them... no lie.
also know another guy like JPI said, sprays all his plugs... catches fish too!

who knows???

I have met a few guys who use wd-40 over the years. One older guy who swore by it for chunking. Supposed to cover up the human scent, ever smell a bag of storm shads? the reek like wd40. I also met a guy who sprays it on his plugs.
I have never used it so cant say for myself but people who do use it, esp chunkers, would not dream of going without it. One guy that chunks with it nailed his biggest, 53, years ago on a bunker head, with a liberal coating of wd40, he said it was one of the first times he had tried and and has been using it ever since.

WD 40

Just what we need is everyone spraying OIL on the bait. Herring something or other in it, or not. Thier has to be other chemicals in the WD 40, other than the herring something or other, that might not mix appropriately with salt water. We'll have a sheen on Buzzards Bay as if another Bouchard barge hit another rock.
