Fishing Xmas Tree

Every year my girl and I do a themed Xmas tree.
Last year we did the sox with blue and red balls, cut out felt jerseys of the entire team, and a hat where the star would be.
This year she wants to do a fishing themed tree. I've got plenty of custom wood to hang, but am at a loss for a tree topper and something like garland.
I was thinking of getting some net and cutting it up.
Any other ideas anybody?
Thanks,
Rick

use a bass for the top I like that idea

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

Rick, how about doing some winter beach combing and stringing the skate and horshshoe crab egg cases, old cork, rope, pieces of fishnet, beach whistles, etc., you could use old mono to string it on to make a garland. For the topper, maybe be creative and get a piece or tin or aluminum, cut out the shape of a [bass] fish, bang some holes in it with a phillips head and affix it on your usual light-up star. The holes will let the light through and the shininess of the metal makes for a starlike presentation.
