Best Quotes..
What are some of the best quotes you have heard from people?? This has something to do with my final project due in june for history, i'm doing it now, so i can just relax when everyone else is scrambleing to get theirs done. Basically what i'm doing is making up a song, with parts of other songs and basically putting them together, kinda like a remixed song.. the song has to represent my view of america and other people that i know opinions.

Samuel Bellamy: A cool pirate
out of context
regarding the rulers and law makers of this country compared to pirates of the high seas ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
" They vilify us, the scoundrels do, when there is only one difference, they rob the poor under cover of law, forsooth, and we plunder the rich under the protection of our own courage."

Heard this one from a good ole' southern boy when I was in the Navy. Still one of the funniest saying I have ever heard
"He had a smile on his face bigger than a mule $hittin Peach Pits"
and here are a couple of quotes from one of my Favorite Movies....any guesses as to the movie.
"The sea is calm you said. Peaceful. Calm above, but below a world of gliding monsters preying on their fellows. Murderers, all of them. Only the strongest teeth survive. And who's to tell me it's any different here on board, or yonder on dry land?"
"we do not deal with justice here, but with the law"

I had seen birth and death but had thought they were different.
T. S. Eliot
If you desire to drain to the dregs the fullest cup of scorn and hatred that a fellow human being can pour out for you, let a young mother hear you call dear baby "it."
Elliot
The last temptation is the greatest treason: to do the right deed for the wrong reason.

There is not a more repulsive spectacle than on old man who will not forsake the world, which has already forsaken him.

Our high respect for a well read person is praise enough for literature.

At twenty you have many desires which hide the truth, but beyond forty there are only real and fragile truths -your abilities and your failings.

I believe in God like I believe in the sun rise. Not because I can see it, but because I can see all that it touches.
cs lewis
A man who is eating or lying with his wife or preparing to go to sleep in humility, thankfulness and temperance, is, by Christian standards, in an infinitely higher state than one who is listening to Bach or reading Plato in a state of pride.
lewis
The future is something which everyone reaches at the rate of 60 minutes an hour, whatever he does, whoever he is.
lewis
You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

Dumber than a box of rocks

This ain't my first rodeo.
She's thin as a bar of soap after a hard day's washin
Faster than a duck on a June bug
Tighter than a power line after a blue norther
