Got hernia?
WHats the deal with a hernia?? Just found out today i have one where the intestine isnt stuck , but moves back and forth through the tear. How long is the surgery/recovery? Better now then during the season. Can it be put off or does it need to be taken care of right away?
Thanks

It's an outpatient procedure. Nothing to it. You'll have to take it easy for 3-4 weeks though. Do it now before the start of the season. You won't be swinging any rods while you're recouperating, but you'll be fine in time for the spring run.

I have been putting mine off for over a year, if I pull a long underground service in I hurt for a few days after, doc said if I double up in pain get to hospital ASAP as I could end up with a C-bag if I waited. I am going to have to find the time to get it done though, maybe next winter

Your #^^^^& and scrotum will be plum purple for a few days. Can you say 'WTF'? I don't know what they do with it, but they must manhandle the sh** out of it.
It hurts like hell for a week although you walk out the same day. You'll get a week's worth of Percocets and you'll use them.
The outpatient guide encouraged having sex right away or even running or riding a bike if you wanted, so to them it's not that bad. But I would not want to have fallen off a bicycle in the 2 weeks following, NFW.
You can put it off. They say if it gets stuck and twisted you'll be an ambulance case, though.
Had one late April and was plugging no problem come June.
You ain't the only one and good luck.
