Will the fish arrive early this season for you Yanks?
Well it looks like the striped bass that have been wintering here in the Outer Banks have already began to move north probably due to the warm water temps. From what I experienced last season with the fish here well into March this early departure seems to be out of the norm. Va coastal fishermen seem to be getting into this population of fish early as well. So you guys back home might have some early season surprises.....

salty- well I am finally beginning to feel like this is home here although I still do miss RI. The Outer Banks is a beautiful place and the fishing is great. I have to learn how to catch many of the new species found down this way to take advantage though. But come May/June I will be wishing I was still in RI with a livewell full of Shad...

Outer Banks, are you near Ocrakoke Island or Pine Island? Beautiful spots down there. I'd love to get some Bluefin action when I'm there, but I never seem to stay longer than an hour

Bob Senior- The Scout is holding up great I am more impressed with it's ride each time I use it even out of Oregon Inlet which many say is the worst on the East Coast. But I am letting a friend store his brand new Scout 260 Sportfish in my yard and that is a hell of a boat.
taJon- I am in Manteo, Ocrakoke is about a 75-min car ride then a ferry ride away. Pine Island isn't that far off. Both are incredibe places.

It must be absolute TORTURE to stare out at that boat. If I were to upgrade - that would be it for me! Twin 150's - fast / efficient - the perfect setup.
