I think I'll stick with stripers. All of those fish reminded me of what it feels like too reel in a boot

SOTB,
I'm already packing my bags. Cool web site, I've been watching the Thailand freshwater scene for a few years now. Just one more reason for going tropical.
This isn't that exotic, but it lives in salt water and it took me close to 40 minutes to land...and I covered a mile of shoreline.
Here's a rooster fish I caught last week out of Crocodile Bay Lodge in Costa Rica

HOLY SHMOKES Mike, you must have had a grin from ear to ear while fighting that beauty. What a fish. Those things can be addicting I'm sure.
I wonder if there are any roosters in the Keys?????? I'll be there in 1 month gonna get me my first tarpon.

Very nice... How much did that puppy weigh? And is that why your straining (sore back) a little instead of a S.E.G.

Nice fish, that must have been a ball. Slip where in the keys? If you are going as far as Marathon, I can give you a good guide recommendation.

Yes I am going as far as Marathon. My Uncle lives in Key Largo but we will be visiting Key West also.
