Ya crack me up, Ed! Each plug will be fished until it catches and then it enters the wall of fame.

I was thinking the same thing....have a pool to see who catches the biggest on one of the swap plugs

Hey guys (especially Big Fish). My dad (86 yrs old and doing his own turning ) makes a lot of plugs for me. They do catch fish and Larry and a lot of MSBA guys have seen the plugs. He uses regular spray primer, paint and clear coat and they come our great. At times I return the beat up ones for a little TLC. I have sent him the last couple of Fisherman articles re plugs and he wants to branch out and try Val Oil or Waterlock that was mentioned. He found some Zinsser? that was mentioned today at Home Depot. Where in the Brockton area might he find the Val Oil or Waterlock or do you have some other things you use to seal and prime and paint and clear coat the lures that you like better. He loves making them and has developed his methods via articles, observations at the MSBA shows, copying lures I bring him or just discussing them with me.
My current order with him is for some yellow spooks and some yellow pencil poppers as well as some more black ones of each.
Any ideas re sealers/ primers and epoxies, clear coats etc. from you experts will be helpful.
Thanks,
Bill P (MSBA Treasurer when I am not fishing)
