It falls under Public Safety and Homeland Security. The abuse of the "Patriot Act" is getting a little out of hand.

Machetes have been illegal in NY State for years. In fact, in New York City, it's illegal to possess any knife with a blade longer than 4" in a public place, except for fishing or hunting (assuming there's a legal place to hunt anywhere in the City).

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools, because they have to say something.

You can go to Walmart and walk out with a Machette no questions asked! They sell 'em right in the sporting goods department from the rack. Grab one off the rack, take it to the cash register and you got a big ole' machette.
