I'm not much for smiling when it comes to photos but damn I'd sure look happier than that guy if I caught that fish.

Oh come on, he's a man not a boy and he's handling that fish incorrectly considering it was released. Especially one that large that's full of roe. I would have lipped her like that only lifting her head out and letting the water support the rest of the body weight. The picture of Jed #^&#^&#^&#^&erson is the ideal way, even Mike Longs method is better. I know it's tempting to take large bass off of beds but I stopped doing that when I was quite young. Glad he released her because that's definately one whose gene pool you want to continue. It's been known for near 20 years that one of those deep California resavoirs was going to produce the next world record.

People have been predicting the new world record would come out of Cali...ideal trout and water conditions produce trophly bass even more so then mexico. Ever since Mitch Romopla took the world record white tail and didn't have it scored alot of questions of "why" pop up. Although alot of guys like Mitch who hunt only record book white tail all over the country and consistantly takes them why didn't he enter it in the records? Could this guy who have caught the 25# be like Mitch or is Mitch crooked too. Most guys here understand fishing and what it means but if you tell somebody that you released a 60# in the surf because the striper Gods told you to, most of your non-internet freinds would question whether or not it was as big as you said it was.
