Ideal Water Temps

This year I finally got a good fish finder and it tells me the temperature. What are the temps that you look for when fishing? Do you really even use it that much during the summer? What temp is too hot and when do you seek out deeper spots?

At what temp do you think the bass will really be showing up?

In my area, LIS, I would expect to see consistant action of fish over 36" (migrated from somewhere else) once the water gets into the mid 50s.

Water temps are rising at almost 1 degree every two days. At 45 degrees at Woods Hole today...I'm thinking that by May 10, there should be some big girls around

Go get 'em!

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.
