Lamiglass rates that blank to 6 ozs. In reality it's good to about 4 and really performs well in the 2.5 to 3.5 oz. range.
It's not a light rod however meaning that it will tire you. If you want to fish an entire tide with a rod that will not go with the GLoomis 1264. It's good to 3 oz. and is very light in weight.

In your previous post you stated that the Loomis you have is rated 1 to 5 ozs. That rod is the SUR1266S. It's a heavier rod than the SUR1264 which is rated 1 To 3 ozs.
I have both rods and they are great!

It is rated a comfortable 1-3. I've thrown large eels with no problem. It throws Redfins, mag darters to Montauk bomb needles. Great pencil popper rod. I'm trying to post a picture . Give me a little time.
