Took son to UConn basketball camp yesterday and was bombarded with calls from home about the storms and damage. Upon return, place looked like a war zone. Hail shredded leaves, broke off branches, dented cars, keelboats in drysailing areas were thrown around in a pile by a baby twister. GF put some of the hail in freezer for me, it's bigger than an ice cube!!!! Will try to post some of her pics later.

And then there was alo the return trip, with the tunnel fiasco. Ended up taking Pike to 495 north to 133 to 114 to get home in three hours from Storrs. ......great circle navigation, but others who tried 128 took five hours to get home.....

baseball sized hail ......... that broke windshields....

ice cube size is bad enough- thankyou nature mom
