In the 10 and 11 wts I'm partial to Scientific angler because of the shorter head; in the 8 and 9 wts I like Rio and the Airflo 40+ also becaus eof their shorter heads. I don't need 50 feet of flyline in the air especially when the wind is blowing. Ron

I liked the Cortland 444 in floating line and have also had good luck with the SciAnglers floating lines - had one of their lines that saw medium use for 5 years before I switched it. I think the next line that I will buy will be from Rio - have heard a lot of positives about their brand of fly lines - salt, fresh, sinking and floating.

The more you talk about floating and intermediate lines the more you'll here about the SA mastery lines. the coating is second to none.
Alot of the other companies are getting closer. When the discussion switches to weighted lines the market is wide open.

Yup,, S/A Mastery Saltwater WF series. Never been dissapointed with S/A.
RIO is making a lot of noise, but if it ain't broke why fix it? S/A for me (for now anyways).
