Like all weathermen...

Things done at the last possible minute are done with the greatest possible information. Procrastination is, therefore, the most efficient means of doing things.

I had the same problem. I was in a hotel on the Cape last night when my cousin called saying the updated NOAA report did not look good. At 4am today, it was a no go. What a frigging waste....

When they say 10 to 15, they mean add them together.

You must have heard me tell my wife the same exact line. I was up early, checked the forecast and they were calling for 5-10!! with 2' seas. I bolted out the door only to take a beating with 20mph and 4-6. I cleared the entrance and said..f this and came home. I was poed.

Looks like a blow out for the weekend now and it might take a day or two after for things to lay down again.

Left Duxbury yesterday in a 21' with plans for the race. It didn't happen, at least 6' seas at the Gurnet, so we didn't venture further at the time. Jigged with some sucess (enough sucess for dinner)in a nearby bay. Ventured back out after noon, and the seas laid down a bit, back down to 2-4' with an occasional 6. Didn't head to the race for fear of the seas kicking back up. I knew it was bad when I watched the blackfins and the party boats turn around.
