Goodbye Monkey!

New to boating and sw fishing late last season. Big 0 on stripers.

New old boat this year (91 Striper WA)...problems getting it going this year..finally got it square, launched for the third time this season tonight....brought out the new wireline pole bought this year...dropped a parachute rig off watch hill, and napped a solid 34"incher w/in 5 minutes.

That dang monkey on my back is gone baby!

Yeah!

Hey Denis, I'll take heat for the wind up here in Mass, but I doubt my powers over the forces of nature extend down to RI... oh right, Florida...

Maybe it is me... well, I performed an old Indian ritual (taught to me by an old Indian) in which I poured salt over my left shoulder onto a black cat standing on a penny (head's up) under a latter.

Than I ate the cat... the salt helped. Hopefully, our wind troubles are over... or was that for rain.

Good going Kynan... there's a good contingent of RI boaters here and they post good reports, so I think you found a good place for some info. Good luck.

I think I just set a record for most uses of the word good in a single sentence. Damn I'm gooood.

Since we were both down there at the same time, I'm no so sure its me... I think you were down there earlier in the week than I was, hmmmm...

Heck, I know its me, this has been going on for years... its just intensified 'cause I bought the boat. The wind and weather gods usually bless me with incredible weather for my September vacation, and I pay for it the rest of the year.

Why did I have to bring up Florida... I'm still stung about no reds. I'm going back down for Thanksgiving for a shot at redemption. Hope to get out more than once this trip. The blues and stripers are helping but I'm still po'd.

15-20 knot winds? Again? Man, this is tough. I want to go out and try to find some mackerel... this keeps up, I'm gonna have to agree with you.

Yes, and you will continue to pay and pay dearly... lmao.

At least I feel better knowing that we can all share in the fun. I'm so darn sick of this wind... I haven't been out on a boat or on a beach yet this year when the wind wasn't screamin' from one direction or another.

I don't like a dead calm, but it would be ok if it could come in under 20 knots once in awhile. We'll see how this weekend goes.
