Talking Final Cuttyhunk Planning!

OK, we're almost down to 2 weeks away from the S-B Cuttyhunk trip (THANKS GB )

I'll put in what GB added to the other C-H thread and let's see if we can hammer out the details a little more...
Quote:
Ok Bloo this is the list I have and are numbers I am going to use to plan food and drinks:

JOHN R, BLOOCRAB, SALTHEART, SMOKEY, CLAMDIGGER, MILO, SPECIALIST, SLIPKNOT, GOT STRIPERS, RED CRBBR, CHRIS L, SALTYDOG, ANTHONYN, NIGHTFIGHTER, GOOSE, DAVE S, FISH EYE?

Thats 18 with me I will bring out two 12pk of pepsi and two of sprite after that you will need your own. Also going to bring out 40 hamburbers, mustard, relish, and buns. I will see about breakfast and let you know what we will do later. Will have tp,paper towels, paper plates at the house.

I have made res. for at least 10 on the cuttyhunk boat for Sat at 9:00 am. I know John.Saltydog,Chris are going over on there own, That leaves 13 or 14 on the ferry or Nor-Easter charters. Please talk to each other this week so we can see who is going by ferry or Chet. We will need to make plans for parking. The elm St garage is only one block from the boat but will cost $7.00 for the night but if you all meet at one spot and maybe go in just two or three cars that would not be bad split by four or five??? The boat is$12.50 one way I will find out if he will charge for rods and gear but it use to be like .50 per bag. I will be taking most of the goods over this week and next will start up the ref. and check the stove for warming things up.

Now lets hear what anyone else is planning on bringing I don,t think we need to much as you should be fishing most of the time so lets try and keep it lite.
Now GB has been extremely nice to make this trip available to all of us and I don't want to see him get saddled with all of the responsibility off everything to do on this - even though he's probably willing to do so...

I will bring a few dozen bagels, CC, maybe one of my wifes lighter dishes (we don't want to be saddled down with heavy, heavy stuff so Salthearts "Death by Strawberries" might be too strong. Some fruit, and I'll see what else I can dig up...

Hey GB, you got a MicroFlame in that house? Bring a sleeping bag? You also mentioned eels, I'd like to see how many you are getting so we can all pitch in (those that are using them)... Any other suggestions?

I can contribute a big batch of macaroni salad, maybe some paper plates, plastic forks, Ketchup. how's that? Maybe a bannana bread for breakfast?

I may carpool with GS down to Fairhaven. Not sure if I will go on ferry or noreaster.

I guess there will be a grille there we can use to burn the grub, right?

I'll try to leave a few fish for you guys as I'm heading out this weekend for a surprise visit. I heard the fishing was off last weekend but you all know how things can change from one week to the next. Can't wait to try out that new Saltheart rod!!!

I have 7dz eels on order with Mike at M+D and will bring them over with me on the boat. I have a 35 gal. live well with fresh water pumped in. Can the eels go into the tank full and keep fresh pumped in at all times or is there a better way????? Chris thanks for the offer but I will have a small gas grill that should do the trick. You could bring some dogs if you wish. John I am not sure on the Micro do have stove and ref. and if there is no micro I will pick one up this week and take it over this weekend for sure. Goose what about your tent is the offer still good and if so can you go out say Sunday early to get it over and see where we will put it. No fishing of course it would be unfare to find the fish before the derby Call me!

GB - cool! BTW - I was only joking about the Microwave - no need to get one. I was just thinking about bringing over some of my wife's chicken pot or shepard's (Teryaki ) pie. Oven will work just fine but they are both good meals for heading out or in from fishing....

I'm also open at any time to help setup like we previously talked.

I'm also going to be in NB @ Titleist tomorrow and was wondering if you would want to meet up and grab lunch somewhere? I realize it's short notice but if you don't have any plans for lunch tomorrow...

I agree the Strawberry Shortcake is too big a production to drag over to the Island. Besides , two weeks in a row is too much.

How about some cheddar wursts or some sausages for breakfast? I want to bring something dense so it doesn't take up much space!

Yes GB, that tent should go up sunday in the case that it rains, we need to keep our food dry.

Also, I don't know if this has been discussed.....but....how many of us have motorolars? They can be used for emergency situations.

From Boston to New Bedford location:
Route 24 to Route 140 South to (from Providence) Route 195 East to Route 18 South (exit #15)- after taking exit 15 onto rte 18s you take a left at the second traffic light (at Union & 18), we are about 100 yards up on the right, behind the Waterfront Visitors Center.

.....I'm sure some of "our" New Bedford natives could help out with some better directions....or landmarks...

Specialist, I figured we'd all meet at the dock, figure out where we're leaving our cars parked...carpool all of us to the dock, and then someone head out for coffees..... (we'll each take a turn pulling out an eel, whoever has the shortest eel has to make the coffee run... )

...it finally happened, there are no more secret spots
