Thanks to my 21 month old son I was up at 4am. My wife told me to go back to sleep but I was up and it's the fall run so off I went in search of those big boys. 8 others were on the shore in Marshfield and only schoolies were to be had. 10 caught the hard way. Not even close to the action we had in the middle of the week. Caught a few right off the bat on plugs but then the sun came up and the wind started howling and swtiched to a pearl shad. Caught a few more schoolies and then called it at 8:15am. The biggest of the group was about 27". Nothing else even close to that. I know it's going to end soon but this is a fun time of year. I'm not complaining because I'm catching lots of fish but man I wish I could get my hook into something big. OK maybe I am complaining a little. Anyone else on the South SHore getting keepers from shore? It was a nice sunrise though.
Don't give up Marshcappa, the bigger fish will come. Just gotta be there when they do. Still plenty of fish in Boston harbor as of yesterday, only a few keepers but still a ton of fish and bait around. keep trying!!!
Thanks Fisherwoman good to know the harbor is still holding fish. I'm not even close to giving up! Thanks for the encouragement. I'll keep an eye out for harbor posts.
Bob, that's even more encouraging! Keep us posted on the North Shore! My freezer is empty and my wife dosn't believe I really catch anything! Kidding on the wife thing but my freezer is pathetically empty.
