I've read somewhere you can use rosy reds for food. some kind of small goldfish type feeders for aquariums. I suppose you can get them at a pet store.

Purina eel chow.
I don't know if you can get them, but the best eel bait for a trap are dead horseshoe crabs.

Make those crabs female, it's the largest of the two.

these are what we use to get the eels into the traps.

eel's love the egg's.

just split the crab in half, the eel's will do the rest.

BOAT fish do count.

Waterford, if you go to C'town B'way, park at the boat launch and walk twords the pond. With a small boat/canoe you'll get alot more. There all over the channel.
