Custom plug.....airbrushed, stainless hardware, VMC hooks......depending on the plug style.....Maybe $20.00-$25.00 depending on whether its a pencil, a swimmer, or something large like a jointed eel!

$25 but it has two be worth it. I did however bid on a BM danny this past winter for $35. Didn't even come close to winning it.
There is a shop on the North Shore that sells Bugger dannies, Tattoo swimmers and Hab's needles for $25 a plug. Too me that's ridiculous especially when I can get them on line from just about any of the sponsors here for $20 or less. They do however sell AH plugs for $20 and I'll pay that because it seems to be the going rate.

I have all the plugs I'll ever need.
$5 is the most I'll pay for a jig.

A few dollars for a HOG and I'm good to go. Or $12 for an SS needle. Or $1.75 for an eel. But $25, $30 for plug? Another planet.

If Superstrike was ever to make pencil poppers and metal lips generally available, I doubt I'd ever have any reason to buy any other brand of plug.
They cast, they catch, and they hold up to rocks. Every one works the same, right out of the package. What more can you ask out of a plug?

23.95 - or whatever the big habs goes for at SWE. But with all the pretty wood stuff I've accumulated, I've caught 500X more fish on $7 Bombers, and about a million times more on $5 bucktails.
I'll still keep buying the wood, its actually one of my more productive ways to waste money.

If the plug lasts and works, I'll pay a lot for it.
I've have a very well used Habs that's going to see it's 4th season next year and it sees almost nightly use.
I've got more then my money's worth out of it...

plugs/cost
there are four or five people here who make plugs that if I had the money I would own every damn one of what they make! Even if it was only to hang them up on the celler wall. Cost is insignificant.

I make my own for about $4-$5 each.
Screw eyes, mustad hooks that are cut at the loop and a couple cans of blue, yellow, white, red, silver and black paint and a paint brush

I've paid $20-$25 for plugs. When the toothy critters are around I'll use $5 plugs.

20-25 buck. thats the goin rate for most local plugs on the market. I pick up a few each year, and still only use bout 4 of em. If i count all my plugs at 20 bucks each and do a little math...

Depend on when you ask. If its after landing a big fish...$20. If its after casting one off on the first cast after opening the package...where's my jig mold!
Personally , I think the plug prices have gone nuts. Not arguing about the quality and if they are worth it based on workmanship , just saying at some point , its too much to tie on the ned of a line and send out into the darkness.
