Plum Island
Is there a preferable tide to fish at the Plum Island jetty?? I was up there last weekend and had to deal with shoulder to shoulder people but no one was catching anything. Just wondering when the best time to be out there was.

If I were you, I'd try to find a different spot. The place gets fish but it also gets fishermen... It would be worth your while to find some places a little off the beaten path. I don't fish the north shore enough to offer specific spots (I haven't fished it much in 5+ years) but there is plenty of structure & shoreline to hold fish up there, especially around Cape Anne... Stripers LOVE rocks

Thanks John. It's a hike to go south to the canal and beyond. Salisbury is only an hours drive...I was trying to find something relatively close to home.

If you're close to PI, your close to Cape Anne, right? Where in Mass are you?

Fish the beach front, not the river and it is much more pleasant experience. Lot 1 of the Refuge is open to fishermen. You fish with a much better class of people when you stay away from the river. I have seen too many boneheads keeping small fish, fishing right on top of you, and kicking schoolies back into the river because they do not want to get wet. I like the first two hours of the outgoing there.

What is "great boars head point" in hampton
Hi IRL and Saltydog:
I am new to Hampton beach also. What is this "great boars head point in hampton"?
Actually, I fished SB yesterday(June 26) at the left side of hampton river mouth (inside the habor) for 3 hr before the highest tide(from 9pm to 12 Pm),. My result is get skung--no action at all!
Please comment a few words here,
Regards,
Ching-Wei Liao

Salty, Thanks for the offer. I may take you up on that one night. I went with some friends out of Rye boat ramp yesterday. We caught some bait first then tried for bass BUT to no avail. We had one on but lost it...that was about it. I caught a small blue down in Falmouth last week but have still not caught a striper. I think I'm jinxed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
