hysteria mass casualties the sky is fallliiing
Kidding Bob, I wouldn't let that change your mind for you, one bulb out of a million isn't a reason to not convert to save money, energy, and conserve for the environment. I been using 40-50 of these for a while now and my house hasn't burned down...yet

I've been slowly switching over to them, I guess I'll have to keep an eye on them now.

I needed to change to them. Nat grid went up 49%. I've got 11 can recessed flood lights down stairs, 6 upstairs and then the regular bulbs. Bills were around $150. We'll see how they work

I dont know what scares me more; the fire, or the fact that he needed a gun to go to 7-11

illumination question
Does a hundred watt curly give off the same illumination as a regular bulb? Someone told my wife they didn't. I was about to start the conversion. I like my light when reading, tying, or wrapping.

The curly bulbs give more light per watt. A hundred watter is pretty bright. Ocean State Job Lot, 2bucks.
Just looked them up; an 18 watt curly bulb produces 75 watts of light. Compared to an incandescent bulb.

The ones I have listed what the actual bulb takes, i.e. 15 watt, and what it produces, i.e. 60 watt.
Walmart had the 4 packs on sale for around 10 bucks

I'm in the process of changing my interior. The most used lights in the house have all been replaced now its time to do the rest, especially all the recessed cans in the basement.
The outside lamps are going almost three years with the same bulbs.
Money is a great motivator.Need to save money for the upcoming shows!
