Goals and expectations for '07

What are your goals and expectations for 2007 from the boat? I want to break 300 tuna for total fish caught (268 this past year) and want a giant that is truly a giant not just a marginal one. I also want to learn how to shark fish with great efficiency and land a mako. These might be reaches but what the hell. Last year was spectacular and I'd like to see the trend continue. What about you guys?

Land first tuna from our boat. Put in a alot of time last year with nothing to show for it. I think one mistake we made was not getting out there earlier enough in the season.

HAMMER TIME!

Goals and expectations for 07

More of the same for me, and most of all,
enjoying watching my 2 boys fish !
I think 9 year old Leo is going to crack the 30lb mark this year !
and 6 year old Matty, will fight and land his 1st keeper all on his own , while Leo nets it for him !

I look forward to just getting out there and having fun. Of course putting some blood red pinstriping on my Sea Ray would be a bonus.

thats why they call it fishing not catching

I'll add a couple more....

3. Have the opportunity to bring some additional folks out on the boat.
4. Head out to same general location with a couple boats.

Hey Mike, Hopefully we can meet up sometime out there. I could use all the help I can get. I have to email your co-worker Mike as well.

Another 80 Hours on the engine, spend time and teach the kids how to fish for flounder. Land my first Striper on my own boat.

Have good time
Keep the livewell full.
Have a good time.
Catch the biggest fish I possibly can.

Althought those are at the top, monster fluke, tog & seabass or any other bottem fish are always part of the agenda.

This will be my first season with my own boat. 21' Larson Sport Cruiser. My goals are to complete the basic nav course in the early spring as a brush up and refresher for my skills and knowledge.

Fishing wise anything I do from the boat this year will be a first so I want to make sure I don't set the bar to an unreachable and frustrating height. I will take every day as it comes, won't get greedy, and appreciate every second I'm on the water. Whatever comes with that (hopefully some nice fatties!) I will try to enjoy.

Getting my captain's license before the season begins.
Watching my kids catch their first bass (although my 3 yr old thinks he's catching a tuna).
More trips fishing for fun - not just running charters.
Go waaay east a few times.
Maybe even enter a tournament.

Get out more than twice this summer. Spend some good time on the water with my 6 yr old and maybe his little sister (3). No ethanol issues....

Recreational. I tagged a this year for UNH. A zillion small ones all over the place. I just hope the bait returns and the little ones grow up to be huge ones.
