New things to try offshore next year
What are some things you are going to try that are new? Two things Im going to try are different rigged swim baits and "new" style spreader bar that we tried once last year and had ridiculously great results. I'm going to run more of those for sure just have to fabricate them when I get some free time.

Im gonna take the stinger off the spreader bar, and run the stinger lure out behind the bar on a spin rod and HANG ON.....
It might work.

I'm looking to make 2 lines of noise/flash with old cd's run behind a small fender of each transome cleat, then have green machines or fairly inline squid rigs just behind the noise on 113's. I don't expect giants, but my goal is to not use spreader bars, they do work great, but with 30 - 50lb schoolies you fight the bar as much as the fish.

If and when I start making these exploratory trips I'll let you guys know. It'll probably be short notice, but if you want to hop aboard, you'll be welcome.

We learned some great rigging tricks this winter in Panama. Anyone ever rig a strip of bluefish belly on their stinger? Never a shortage of blues around, so we may try that this year.

With the Braid runners try to get them to run under a bar off a flat line and your hook up rates will increase.

i like the bluefish belly strip idea. i've used huge pork rinds but you never have enough to go arround.
