"I think more of my health, how I envision myself 5-10 years down the road," Dillon told the Globe. "I don't want to be broken down, not able to play with my kids. I've been blessed and fortunate enough to play 10 years. I can get up and walk around and be comfortable. That's one of the big determining factors."

I liked the guy even when he played for the Bungles...
he got his ring and a chance to play with winners, I think last season showed him how much he has slowed down... if he retires, and stays retired, I will have even more respect for him.. most pro atheletes dont know when they have had enough...

This news is late, his retirement started at the end of the 1st half in the AFC championship. Just kidding, he did his job, helped us to a championship and I wish him well.

According to a few boards,
he wants out of here and retirement is not a definite!
Sounds like he's not happy about being # 2 behind Maroney.

Even though he played with a chip on his shoulder he knew where the line was drawn.
We're gonna miss you 28 locker.
