I have been home sick since tuesday. I am feeling alot better today. I have a trip with Gary Corsetti tomorrow am. I was thinking of hitting the ditch afterwards, but I don't want to push my luck. They are meeting at Scusset 3pm. I hear there need some chummers for the chunkers.

Well, the wife is going to foxwoods with a friend of ours tonight for what might be her last trip down there for a while. I should be able to pick up my boat (20hr oil change at 50+hours and some odds and ends) saturday morning, so was thinking of fishing sat evening, and taking the boat out sunday early am.
John, got an offer for ya. Why don't you fish the "south shore" sat night... we could hook up, then you can crash at my place. Karen's cool with it. Sounds like FW is offering to take ya out possibly... if not, you can fish with me... either way, it would give you a break on travel. And don't feel bad about chosin' FW over me, 'cause I generally see them quite a bit out there anyway.
Plus, I won't know till later today if the boat will be ready... they were a bit overwhelmed and I guess they put alot of people off till after the 4th.
But let me know how that all sounds.
ps... John, SOB? I know you were bad mouthing Stripers on the Brain the other day, but that's kinda mean.

Spent this AM with some of the "other" guys.....
Ya know, them guys from Jersey come up here, and they manage to knock out all the lights on the Ditch and the bridges for a few hours!!!!!
Going back for more tomorrow, plan on hitting the slack around noon, going to get some "free" eats, then chunking it up with whoever is gonna do that....
John, feel free to "crash", am sure you are more than welcome....
Sunday, sleep.....then??????
Whatever all of ya do, be happy and safe!

I don't know John, I'm down to about 50-50 on getting the boat back for sunday. Just got off the phone and its all done but the fuel gauge... but they may need to order it... right, sounds like a load 'a BS, but I'm taking from it the possibility of it not being ready.
So, plan is still good except you better get in touch with FW for sunday am.
FW, got room for two?

I'm hanging at home tonight and Sat. at 3 there's that cookout at the fish pier for the SOL ditchmagic, after me and bassmaster will chum the canal with all the leftover food and then lveline french fries to the bass that come looking for a meal.
Sunday I have work to do at a friends house
John, if you don't go with SOTB, come on by the canal and see the masses.

Slip - thanks for the offer but I did go out with S.O.t.B., his betterhalf, and Mike & Patrick of Ave Maria ...
Eugene & Jamie - Thanks for the invite & hospitatlity on Saturday evening! We'll redo this trip soon!
We went out Saturday night and targeted big fish with the live pogies Mike & Patrick chased so we'd have live bait for the trip... We were able to raise larger fish all over the habor but the truly bigger fish had developed lock-jaw and would hit but didn't suck down the large pogies. There was a fair amount of big swirls and attacked bait and a LOT of fun . Sure, we could have chased the little guys but we urged for big fish. Again, thanks to Eugene, Jamie, Mike & Patrick...
