Mass & Rhody Legs of S-B Tourney

OK - time to start working out dates for the final Mass & Rhody legs for the Free S-B C&R Tourney...

I figure the Mas leg to be in September and the Rhody leg best in early October...

Other dates that might already be taken are the Cutty trip in Spetember (7-8) and the MDA Tournament in October (18-20)...

Let's here some dates pleaze ....

Thanks

Last 2 weekends in Sept are most likely a washout for me as my office (250 workstations, 16 servers, routers, plotters, crap & more crap) is moving buildings... Good news is I'll probably be in a hotel on weekends in Quincy and can fish my favorite Mass spot

I can't do anything from the 20th to 23rd as my work is moving our main offices and being chief geek, I have some long days that weekend. If it needs to be held that weekend, someone would need to step up to run it....

Septembers tough, and anytime for October (but I think the 26 of October sounds good for the Rhody leg ) Is anybody "in the lead" with any fish????

John, regardless of what ever dates we pick not everybody is going to be able to make it so let's just pick 2 sets of dates and vote on it and then we can be done with it?

We should do the RI leg on the same weekend as the big charity tourney in October. Weekakpaug Bait and tackle is open all night. There are lots of people in town so many can do both tourneys. We get a better turnout that way. Its scheduled pretty late in the season anyway. I don't know if I can make it but I think that would be a good strategy anyway.

choose any dates that work for the majority . I cant make Sept 14th ( on call ) , Sept 28 ( Anniversary ), Oct 5 ( on call ) or Oct 26 ( on call and big money day ). I will also be up on the cape the week of 9/18 thru 9/29 . So Im limited but thats OK Im going to MV and cuttyhunk during Sept .

Saltheart, that's an excellent idea but with one problem to work out. Not only are we fishing OCT 18th, 19th and 20th for the MDA we can have our groups also fishing the S-B Tourney.

Now the problem is that the MDA Tourney is a meat tourney instead of C&R like ours. If we can figure out a way to make that work, I'm all for it...

As for the September Mass Leg, 2 weeks after Cutty? September 28th? That looks to be about the best as there is a break of a week after C-Hunk to stay just on the outside of the doghouse....

John would'nt 2 weeks after Cutty be the 21st? The other problem I can see about the RI leg and the mda, is the amount of peope already fishing. Access is tough enough when it's just us isn't it?

Specialist, you're right... several weeks after Cuttyhunk ... Yeh, it might be tougher with more people but at the same time, a lot of the same people are there... But this is why we're discussing it , so what other suggestions?

Throwing us to the breachways or having us TRY to find the quiet spots while we get ticketed or towed -- hardly seems like " let's meet some of the people we talk with on the board and have some fun fishing. Just my two cents.
