Had fun fishin with Bob and Bob

A little fish porn for today...

Today I had Charles Remburg onboard from Scituate MA. We had planned a leisurely day of fishing for whatever swam our way....The day started out bass fishing at first light but we found it fairly slow from previous outings with several just sub legal fish taken on plugs and many blues....I told Charles about the tuna and he was interested...I then said *are you willing to go to the tables at Vegas"?....He nodded and off we went....Seas were getting a bit sloppy but not too bad and before you know it we spot some single terns then a few more. We stayed with them for 5 minutes as they flew into the wind picking up bait here and there....Eventually a few more terns showed up and they formed and before you knew it the first boil showed....They were moving so fast I had a hard time getting above them....Finally left the scene of the crime and made a big loop back around and came down on top of them....Nobody around.....*hurry up chuckie, get in the bow*!....And like clockwork they blew up in front of us, 2 casts....we both hook up....One breaks off but the other is hooked well...there were some TOADS in the bunch....
Charles is into the fight and after 10 minutes gets on top of the fish....Unfortunately the Lamiglas rod blew up and now we are fighting a nice fish with half a rod.....Ok....stay calm...we can do it....10 minutes later I sink the gaff and heave ho over the rail...Heavier than I first thought as it hits the deck...
Chuck is thrilled, Guide is thrilled, tuna is not so thrilled....
Nice to see them and hook up on the first pod after a week of bassin with the crazies!..

Slip...not sure what you mean....Has nothing to do about being a pro....it has to do with 118 boats in a half mile stretch killing the bass for what?...A couple extra bucks......It just brings out the worst in people....If you saw it you might feel the same Today was an non commercial day and it was fairly vacant.....

Ahhh Fin Addiction... But then the "experts" & Regulators keep telling us that it's us (mostly C. & R .) "Recs." that kill most of the Bass being removed from the biomass!

Seems your observations Cap. prove that to be a lot of bull, as I've believed & observed all along myself! Take the price off the Stripers' head-- the #20+ Bass especially... and I'm quite sure 90% less Bass would be killed than today under current regs. Oh, I know... the "data" says otherwise!-- it says us Recs. just love eating big Stripers almost every night apparently!

No price on Stripers over #20... GAMEFISH NOW!... then we'll see big Bass everywhere, including in the Surf everywhere they used to be, again! (How was your surf- season, Rhody, Cape & N. Shore MA?

Bob, always great to see you with Bass! Nice to "meet" your Dad too!-- I thought I was a lot like my Dad!-- you guys are clones!

Check your facts out. It is quite clear that recs kill waaayyy more than commercial guys. We have a quota, there is no quota for rec guys. 2 fish at 28" is ridiculous a 28" fish is a glorified schoolie.
