Bluefish ARE fun.

With many personal and professional issues I haven't even been able to fish at all this August.Got out for a few after work and slammed a dozen nice 15lb blues.Trust me it WAS FUN!

Couldn't agree more. I've caught 20 blue fish on 20 consecutive casts and it was a ball.

Glad you got into the bloooofish!

I love Bluefish too. They have saved many a slow trip for me. Good to eat too, if they are prepaired right starting right after they are caught.

Agree. A bad striper fishing outing can at least turn into some arm weary memories that's to our plentiful Summer blues. And in the Fall after the linesiders have left those Blooos get mighty big.

As soon as the moon got high enough last night, the blitz of Bass ended and the blitz of bluefish began - some nice ones @ 12+ pounds - I still preferred the bass as eels and plastics went out into the sea and under the knife...

they suck when you're bass fishing, but they're better than dogfish.

Fishing in a Bluefish Tournament this Sunday with some hefty prizes for heaviest fish. Weather is gonna be sweet so this year the prize pool is gonna be fat. Very competitive event where one ounce can mean the difference between $1000 or nothing... I betcha top fish is well over 15lbs this year.

Glad to hear they are around and I have also seen some BIG BLUES up here as well.
