Are the Pats that stupid?

I'm going to wait to hear the facts. Who knows what's on the tape? I'm wondering if they do it just to get under the other teams' skin.

If they were doing it, they'll be punished appropriately and they'll still win the division.

Has anyone seen the message boards on espn? Lol, it's like one big Jets support group. Everyone keeps saying that they should be thrown out of the league or something. I'm sure the camera enabled the Pats to run the "Let Tom Brady sit in the pocket so long" play, so that he has enough time to pose a la Zoolander, when he throws the ball. Or the "let a hobbled Randy Moss outrun three guys" play.

I'm a huge Pats fan but the very latest is they were caught "with their pants down".

Its now more or less up to "interpreting the rules".Loopholes and wording.

But its my understanding they've been caught and will have to face some type of discipline at some point.

to be honest, who really cares? baseball teams try and figure out signs all the time. Whenever there is a runner on second there is always suspicion of them giving signs to the batter.

themz the rules though, guess we will see how this turns out.

Looks like they got busted......Doesn't matter if everyone else does it, they did it and got caught, now they need to pay the piper.

ANY PRESS IS GOOD PRESS.

I hear Belichick has as many friends outside Boston as Bonds does outside San Fran.

Like TDF said, if we're guilty we'll do our time.
The camera was taken in the 1st qtr, so I don't think the outcome of this game had anything to do with cheating.

Enjoy it Ronnie, I remember when the Pats sucked like the Raiders, the only joy we could gain was from others misery.

GO PATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's the big deal people...every team - every individual - in every sport - looks for a competitive advantage. Every team looks to stretch the rules as much as possible...at all evels of the organization. Open your eyes people! Take NASCAR for example. How many times have you seen improper parts used? Crew chiefs get suspended, drivers get suspended...teams get fined...almost every week. So the Patriots got caught breaking the video taping rules...big deal! Belichick is no dummy! He knew he had an employee on the sidelines taking video...no question. And I'll bet he's thought long and hard about what would happen if he got questioned about it. That is why his statement claimed it was an "interpretation of the rules." Give it one week...after we bitch slap the Chargers all will be forgotten.

There were rumors of the same thing last year against the Colts in the AFC Championship game. Nothing was done. You're right, PM, are they that stupid to cheat in THAT game.
I gotta hand it to the camera man though, HUGE grapes, that boy. 50 feet from the Jets coaches on the Jets sideline. He coulda been creamed...

He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.

The fines are insignificant. As for the draft pick, they'll figure out something to still have a good draft. This was just a witch hunt because other teams are sick of the Patriots and Belichik. Every other team in the NFL does something against the rules to get an advantage. I believe that Goodell is sending a message that he's not letting the same old BS go on anymore. He's doled out harsh punishments for players, and now one of the premier teams in the league. I'm glad he's being tough. I can't stand the punk players who think they can get away with whatever they want. As for the Pats.....every other team that plays them this year better be careful. They are going to be a pissed off and hungry team who is going to want to stick it to everyone else. And, if they win it all, there can be no talk about them cheating because they will be under a microsope all year.

The tape/cd was seized/stolen after the cameraman was roughed up by Jets security people. In other words the camera was "stolen" by Jets security and turned over to management after the security ran and hid with the camera to watch what had been recorded. Anything is stolen when the person taking it doesn't have the lawful right to take what was taken.

Total "poop" on behalf of poor losers who aren' talented enough to play against us. On to the superbowl "2007".

Eric, Eric who? At the end of this seaon.

Belicheck should report the theft of the camera to the S.P.'s at the Foxborough barracks. That would be a hoot.
