What FW said, only I'm hitting that other island.
Headed to Nantucket for a much needed 2 week vacation. In the meantime, will likely hit the south shore tonight as well. Hopefully start my vacation out with a couple large and bs with John for a while.
Things are definitely gettin' crazy... if you were ever gonna fish, get out there now. I don't know what wednesday's big blow did to the fishing, but there is so much bait and there are so many fish inside and outside the harbor right now, its amazing.
I got out for a few hours on 9-11 and there were so many schools working, that I was leaving fish to check out other schools. Leaving blues to find bass, leaving bass to find bigger bass.
It was like playing with "house money"...
Add great reports of bluefish and bass on the south shore from Van and FW, and I'd say, "do you think the fall run has stahted?"
Tight lines everyone.

Going to a friends house on a pond in pascoag. just a boat ride on one of those floating pontoon flatbed boats but it will be good to be outside.
Girlfriend is working so I'm on my own.
Working on a fancy rod some this weekend and maybe a little ride on the ride around mower.

Mike, would that be my rod???? (naw, I don't do fancy, heh, heh)
Got couple 7500s spooled up to take owner out chasing footballs Sat at 0445. Taking my son, and hope to get him hooked up on his first keeper. Fish bustin' like crazy off our beaches!!! Took eight keepers up to 44" last night off Devereaux beach in anhour and a half, and had THREE trebles straightened out , causing me to lose a few big girls. God this time of year is so much fun!!!!

Tonight
The wife and I are heading to Pemberton (sp) Pier to do a little smelt fishing tonight. You know a few of them will have a hook through their noses. JohnR and Schoolie keep any eye out for us and come by and say hi. We did pretty well there last Friday.
we are packing for the Vineyard the rest of the weekend. I may get permission for a quick run to the canal area Saturday morning depending how we do tonight.
Flatts1, I 'll try to call you later today. Feel free to join us if you like.

More trouble with middle brain dead son, suspended from school for 10 days and when the other shoe drops, it's likely going to be worse for him. So I'm likely hanging close, although I might try for Sunday morning if I can get the time. Clammer I've not forgotten about you, I just haven't had time to pour up what you wanted. I've got some chartreuse and some lemon-lime in the 6 inch, otherwise it might be a day or two.
