If you can hang in there until after Franks solo the band is really tight ,,, hard stuff to play .. Keep in mind FZ was anti drug and no druggies were allowed in the band at a time that may have seemed square .. Nobody here is under the influence ..
Tagger, you woulda loved the early 70's at 201 Brown St. Zappa blaring 24-7. Coupla of the guys upstairs morphed into the Talking Heads. Wicked good , pissa time. Probably why I'm so tired all the time now. I can't hear Montana now without thinking dental floss and vice versa....really.
He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.

Absolutely the dumbest song I have ever heard! Heard it one day with Slingah....he claims Frank never did drugs...............I beg to differ!
Absolute nonsense!
Slingah is a free thinker, an open minded individual.. Lyrics have nothing to do with the appeal of Zappa really .. Once you've heard a joke its not funny the second time . Most musicians get it .. Now get back to your Donny Osmond record ..
A different Zappa band ,,, vintage 1970 - 71.. Flourescent Leech and Eddie from the Turtles .. Ansley Dunbar on drums ... great drummer in his day ... Paul ,, great Whipping post version,,never heard that ,,, That guy singing Zombie Woof is Napoleun Murphy Brock .. Chick from ZPZ is a keeper .. super talented ,
Ed, Whippin Post is on the "Them or Us" album. I think I gave it to you didn't I? It is the last song. I got some cover tunes from Limewire like a reggae version of Stairway to heaven, I am the walrus, Lucy in the sky with diamonds although in franks version she has Herpes, a bunch of beatles stuff. Music is exact but the lyrics are comical. If you want i will send you them. Below the quality is not the best but still good stuff
Stairway
Zappa and Lennon, Filmore
