Question Weedless (snag-free) Jigs

Does anyone know of a weedless (snag-free) jig for saltwater? Something that doesn't have a tendancy to get hung-up on the bottom. (There seem to be many types available for freshwater.)

Only problem I see is that it is usually the lead head that wedges between some rocks causing the hang ups. Anything heavy enough to act as a wire on the hook would probably open and have no effect on anything over 3/4 oz or so. (most of my jigging is done with 3 oz and up)

May be a cool idea though for smaller jigs though.

bullet head steel pegged with toothpick and texas rig some fat black or white rubber worms.... I`ve also had very good success with jig and pig type heads with weed guards but use rubber worms for trailer.

Good health and family

The guys in the Bay have been using a jig they call a banana jig which has a shovel shaped jig head, almost like those smaller redfish jigs you'd see in Offshore Angler catalogs that weigh a half-ounce, but these are heavy, for jigging on the bottom.

Go to this site, ask Dan about them, he either makes them or is a dealer, either way he can get you some to try out, they work very well.
