What happened????

Some of the recent threads regarding "what if you caught..." or "Why haven't you..." developed some good comments, funny stuff, and then went downhill with chestbeating and members calling out others for their typed statements. If I were a newbie, reading through some of these, it would be the last time I bothered visiting the site. Can we leave that chit for other sites, and utilize the PM route for dealing with the pissing contests. If someone gets your goat with a tall tale, laugh it off and don't take the bait... This place has a higher standard, so we don't have to wade through the BS, which i why it's so good. Just my .02

My gramps taught me that fishing is a Gentlemans sport,,,

I also have some friends that I fish with that are true gentleman and have helped me tremendously. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to have fished or to fish with them every year and hope I can contribute more to the group in the future...

Man,did you nail it right on the head.Check out the "surfcasting" thread from the guy in Italy asking about the history of surffishing. No disrespect to the guys who responded,I know they are only kidding around but even though I'm a newbie to this site I felt bad for the guy.I thought his question was both good and sincere and deserved more serious responces.

My thoughts exactly, nightfighter. Stuff like that is the reason I stopped frequenting SOL and found this great site. I hope it continues to stay that way.

sometimes even this site has its "time of the month"..... hopefully it doesn't last long because i was getting a little uneasy about some of the comments posted. that being said, it is winter and people just want to get out and fish... i kno i do!

Go PATS!!!!
