Any New Gear For The 08' Season Planned?
Planning on picking up any new gear for this upcoming season at your local bait and tackle or at the upcoming shows? A new reel, rod or tackle that you have on your list?

I don't plan on picking it up at any show, but before the season's over I see one of those new 10' Lami Super Surf rods in my hands
I think it's also a pretty safe bet that I'll be picking up 100 jigs over the next 8 or 9 months.

Sorry, I should have clarified.....the shows just get me thinking about new gear but I do most of my buying at a few local shops I frequent. Do the shows get you thinking about new gear? There sure is alot to look at!

One thing I never seem to pass up at the shows.......
JERKY!!...but I guess I shouldn't consider that gear ?
This year is just like last year,,, and the one before that and the one before that, I'm still trying to justify a VS - -

Get the VS - you won't regret it. And in the unlikely chance you do regret it you can sell it on Ebay or in the classifieds...

I have to get 2 new rods for reels I got for Christmas. Looks like it may be an Arra 1322 spin and a 10ft. Lami surf and jetty conventional. Problem is $$$. lol Those supre surf look an feel awesome, might try one of those instead of the 1322.

You should be all over BigBo's skiff on classifieds.....
My wish list is great, but pricey.... so in these times, I am holding off
But...
T-top from Redman Marine
50VSW
80VSW
Two 80-100 lb rods
squid bars, daisy chains, and birds
So I will make do with what I have, sell a few reels, get a pogie net, and maybe a Cabo40 or 60 as go-to spin reel for the boat.

Get it surveyed prior to closing. Great deal, IF it passes survey. Go down for the survey if you can. Do not use a surveyor recommended by broker/seller.
BTW, for a college kid......who's your bank?????I think you are more horse trader than student!
End of hijack.....

I saw the Super Surf factory rods yesterday at M&Ds. They are just about perfect as is. The only thing I would personally have done differently on a custom is having the reel seat nut lock down instead of up. Other than that---best factory rod I've ever seen--reel seat placement, guide size, spacing, double wrapped cork tape foregrip, everything right on. At least for me.
I haven't seen the conventional models yet, but there is no way I'd spend the extra dough for a custom spinning rod. Not even to get my own colors. I've never seen a production rod laid out so perfectly for me.

Hmmm... not sure what a surveyor does?? Is that like the same thing as taking a car to pass inspection? Also... I work 45 hours a week during the summer so my goodies are bought by me After these purchases that bank you mentioned is near nonexistant. mom and dad want nothing to do with my addiction.... well, i lied just my dad
