The cover is off

Had some free time today and the weather is good,
so pulled the boat from behind my garage to in front of the garage and uncovered it.
Time to put the plow trucks away behind the garage.
Anyone else pull the cover yet?

Took the cover off Wednesday, opened the bimini top and put the cover back on with the sides open to air things out and leave space to work on thursday. Woke up Thursday with with severe back pain from Wednesday and was unable to do anything. I hope I didn't cause the rain we had Friday...

It is off today! Did some ghetto work on two of the rollers on the trailor with a make shift rubber gizmo Lowes special. Motor is being serviced this week with a oil change/lower lube, new plugs, and my tilt bracket needs to be fixed. It ran good a couple of weeks ago so I'm hopefull for a good start to the season. The only bad thing is I don't have the dough for a good trailor so I'm putting the band aids on this one and gonna stay local. I was hopefull for more Cape and RI trips but they will have to be on other peoples boats and/or from shore. Otherwise I'm stoked! My gear is ready so bring on the season!

Too early, water temp is barely 40 deg. You have 6-8 weeks yet. What is the rush?
Most people here seem to go in too early and out too early. Lots of guys hanging it up in early sept. Nov is still pretty good fishing. April sucks and most of May is pretty week. Looking at the temps off boston your still in the 30's. 42 here on a good day. I like to see at least the temp start with at least a 5 before I get really motovated.

April-May, It's nice to fish for cod before dogs show up. I don't look for bass till mid May. At the tail end I fish into Dec in my boat for whatever is around, bass ,blues, tuna, tog.

pulled the cover last week, and spent this week fixing all the little do-dads that broke during last season that I never got around to.... also re-wired/re-greased the trailer and added thsoe LED lights (tired of fixing the damned lights all the time). got the bottom paint done too.

I'm so-o-o ready

My cover is still on but we replaced the trailer lights today. We had a grounding problem and it was a fiasco to trace. But we managed to find the problem and all is well. I still think I'm a few weeks from uncovering her and getting her ready though.

I at least looked at the boat today as I worked in the yard. Maybe next week I will get the tin boat together. I usually don't use the 19'er till June so no hurry, yet

Mine cover came off yesterday. Had to replace one battery. Fired up the engine and smoked out the neighborhood (I always look forward to that). Everything seems to be working. I need to scuff and paint the bottom, clean her up and then I'll be ready to launch her..

It's gonna be a while for me to splash, must do a brake and bearing job on the trailer everything else was done at seasons end last year.
Other family related duties are first on my list this year hopefully by May the boat will get wet if not plenty of shoreline to get the line wet
