A friend of ours could really use your help!

Some of you may have already heard, but long-time member Skitterpop has been ill for quite some time now, and as a result has fallen on some hard times. Mike has been battling Diabetes for a few years and it has left him unable to work and support himself and his wife Karin. If anyone of you knows someone with Diabetes, then you know how debilitating it can be. I don't know Mike outside of the site, but I do know he has been very helpful and generous on many occasions to many people, including myself. When others are in need he is always one of the first to donate, even when he could use the extra cash.

So with that said, I would like to get an auction up and running to help Mike cover some of his medical costs. If anyone would like to donate plugs or send a check to Mike I know he would be greatly appreciative. If we could get some of the builders to throw in some goodies that would be fantastic! You can PM me for my address to send the plugs to. I will take pics when I receive them then post them on here in separate auction threads. I can also give you Mike's address if you would just prefer to send him a check directly. If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me or ask in this thread.

I know Mike is embarrassed about his situation and would never ask for help, but he is one of the good guys and I think we should help him the best we can. Thanks for your support!

forgot to add: got the Bossman's approval on this

Thanks Larry!

And thanks to those who've shown support through PMs. there should be some nice stuff coming in!

Here are my contributions: first is a used, but in good condition, 704 greenie with extra spool. second is a slightly used Hab's squid popper. I'm sure one of you plug mongers could use it

I'm going to hunt around and figure out something really good. At least equivalent of a new reel or rod, may be in the form of some pluggage

Maybe we can also have some fun and make someone moderator for a day in a goofy (non destructive) sort of way

4 needles, made by Mike of Mikes Custom Plugs, these are some of his earlier needles. Have done very well on these models, in the summer and early fall.

Bart, I will pick something up this weekend and forward it to your home for the raffle - as a diabetic of 30 years, I have an idea of what he could be going through.
