Smile Old Time Blues

Going through some old stuff, I came across this pic taken near Graves light in Boston harbor. These are the size fish we caught on a regular basis. Quite different from some of the rats we are getting lately. (But at least they are coming back).

Note the date on the picture.
Also how much thinner I was...

No idea. We never bothered weighing or keeping them.
We throw em' back in and get another.

But I would guess in the upper teens, but under 20.

Mike:

Funny thing is we were so spoiled with fish like that it was no big deal. We would tally 20-30 blues like that EACH.

We could get em' from shore also anytime we wanted. Wolly beach, marina bay, the gas tanks, umass and more...

Going out in the boat was a treat to catch them. That was in my buddies boat b4 I owned my own.
Problem is we never went striper fishing, and there were plenty big ones of them around then too.
