anyone have a grinder?
i'm looking to make a bunch of chum. does anyone have one i can use. in return i'll supply you w/ chum, macks, or some time on my boat. i used to use a beat up old wood chipper but the old timer who let me use it passed on. i'd like to try a grinder before i buy one. they are expensive and want to know if i should spend the money on it or just look for a cheap used chipper. thanks, paul

I dont have one, but was thinking the same thing, I'd like to make some chum this year. lots of yard sales, I think you can get a foood processor for less than $10.

I think I have one Paul. I'll check in the morning when I get home from work. If I still have it, you can have it free.

Get another wood chipper they work 1000 times better and you don't have to cut out the spines of bluefish etc...

I saw a guy once making chum with a cuisenart blade welded to a rod that was chucked into a corless drill.. he was making it all in a steel barrell... naaaasssty. but very fast.

I have a chipper/shredder not doing anything that hasn't seen much use , if you don't have any luck getting a grinder, you can have it cheap
It is a 5 hp Craftsman, how's 200 bucks sound
or it will go in the yard sale

Although it may require a little leg work, with the "spring cleaning" bug hitting many homeowners, there's also a chance of getting lucky at a yard sale. Just a little food for thought.

Here you go Paul. It's old, but it works. It's also not a real big grinder, but it will definately serve it's purpose and it's free. Let me know if and when you want to come by to grab it.

eben, that sounds like a cool idea. i may experiment w/ an old weedwacker that has a circular saw blade and a metal trash barrel. my wife and neighbors will love this, as if they needed confirmation i am nuts. slip, thanks for the offer but i will pass.
