Where are the fish in Narragansett Bay?

I know a lot of it is me, I'm new to the area, don't dig boating at the crack of dawn, and I'm used to bottom-fishing in Maine, but I'm not seeing a lot of action in the Bay. I've been up and down the Sakonnet and East Passage and I don't see too many fishermen out there. I rarely mark fish on sonar, see no bird activity, and no surface feeding. I've joined groups of boats in an area and try to get an idea what they're going after and what they're using but nothing ever appears to be happening. I have yet to see anything besides a pogie pulled onto a boat out there but I keep reading forums on about 5 fishing sites that chronicle the great fishing around here. Coming from the barren Maine waters, maybe my expectations were too high. I'm not just targeting stripers (I know they head for cooler water in July/August), I'll go after everything. I just can't find anything.

The bay is too warm for stripers now . You need to fish the low end of it ,Narragansett and Newport if anything. Haven't seen much bluefish when I've been out there either. There's fluke, scup, and a few seabass if you're up for that. PM if you need more info.
